Mussel Rope (the ropes used by mussel farms to collect mussel seed) can be installed to help climbing species make their way up into and on through culverts.
ATS Environmental is able to source and install either new or recycled ropes at existing structures.
Mussel ropes, either on their own or combined with rubber ramps, can overcome a variety of fish passage challenges including:
- perched culverts
- box culverts
- culvert aprons
- weirs
- low flow rates
- high water velocity
